Are you ready for the summer yet? Well it is not too late to get your hair and skin into shape before the heat arrives. Here are some tips that will help you get back on the road to healthier looking skin and hair.

• If you are going to the salon for these types of services be aware of the type of product being used on your hair. Make sure your licensed cosmetologist is using a professional grade product on your hair. Ask questions concerning the affects and benefits of this product on your hair. Discuss steps you may take at home that will assist in the pursuit of healthier, longer, stronger hair.
• Write down the dates of your chemical services and find out what your growth cycles are Normal health hair grows and sheds in three stages ranging from active to inactive. For client that wear relaxers, permanent waves or hair color it generally takes any where from 8-12 weeks to notice sufficient new growth. New growth will be more visible for clients with shorter hair, sometimes within a 2 week period.
• Regardless of your skin color, make sure your moisturizer has a SPF. SPF means Sun Protection Factor. SPF tells how long you may stay in the sun without burning from UVB. Without protection a light skinned individual would normally produce redness in 20-30 minutes.

Apphia Mesha Salon & Cosmetic Studio offers a pre-payment plan for salon services. Included in this plan is; shampoo, conditioner, hair curl, roller set, Doobie wrap, silk wrap, flat-out or waves & free brow arch! With this plan you can add any service a
la carte; Hair color, lash extensions, brow wax, designer haircuts, relaxers and more!
If you choose not to add an a la carte item into your pre-paid plan, then you can pay
the difference on the day of service. You can customize your plan for a bi-monthly
rate and monthly rate! Call for more information. Some exclusion may apply.
